Comprised of nearly 20 semi-professional and professional bassoonists (many of whom also play contrabassoon) from the Albuquerque and Santa Fe area, the Bosque Bassoon Band was established in 2004. Our members include a doctor, a retired attorney, a nurse, several teachers, high school and college students, financial advisors, university employees and even some professional musicians!
Our repertoire list now includes over 100 titles and runs the gamut from standard classics such as Pachelbel's Canon and Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik to marches like Thunder and Blazes and the Radetsky March to original works composed especially for the Band like Zarathustra Hound Dog, Rivers and Enchanted Chamisa.
